Seems that we have once again disappeared for a little bit! We are all alive and well, just busy with work, and work, and a little bit of family time!
Last weekend, Matt got the taxes done and we were able to spend some time together as a family. We had lots of time to just enjoy each other and Hannah was so excited to have some quality time with her daddy! She misses him so much when he is at the bookfairs.
This weekend, we took an overnight trip to Albany to join in the belated festivities for Annabelle's first birthday! It was great to see Josh and Katherine, and the girls had a wonderful time playing together! They are going to have so much fun growing up together. I think they like being cousins!! We even had a little time to take the girls over to the school nearby to play on the playground. Annabelle loved the swings, and Hannah loved the slides! We had two very beautiful drives there and back, the sun was shining and the weather was perfectly warm to have the windows cracked and the wind blowing in our hair!
Came back home to work, work, work. I think we got most everything done, and I caught up on all the phone calls I needed to return. The only thing left is to give Matt a haircut! He should get home early enough tonight to do that little thing... and now that the weather is cooperating, we can do it outside!!
If you didn't see the pictures yet, when we were out in Ohio for a visit a few weeks ago, we took Hannah to get her ears pierced! She did so well! My mom, my sister, Matt and I decided to narrow the choices for the studs down to 3 pairs (pink, purple, and blue) and let Hannah have the final pick! She picked each pair up once, to get a better look at them, then she decided on the light blue pair (which happen to look really great with her bright blue eyes!)! Aunt Brittannie held her down, while the two gals did both her ears at the same time. She cried for about 20 seconds at the most, we distracted her with a fortune cookie! After that, she was fine! She has been doing really well with them, she lets me clean and spin them twice a day and she doesn't yank on them at all. She does feel them occasionally, and get a funny look on her face, as if she is wondering what is in her ears! But they are starting to heal and before too long we will have to get her a few more pairs to switch between!
Well, enjoy this lovely weather while it lasts! Have a great week!
