After a long lull in posting or uploading any pictures, I have finally had a chance to catch up - at least a little bit. I downloaded the pictures from Heather's camera, but there are still a few on mine that will have to work their way onto the website eventually. For now, 35 new pictures should keep you entertained!
First of all, we have Hannah's 18-month (yep, a year-and-a-half!) size comparison picture.
There are new photos in the Hannah album, beginning on Page 8.
And, since we've got enough pictures to warrant a new Hannah album, I created a new album for 18 months & up!
I also had a chance to update the graphic at the top of the homepage. Credit where credit was requested: Thanks Josh, for taking the family picture of us at the Aloha!
While I was working in the photo gallery, I finished cleaning up the titles of all pictures and captions in each album - so the "Random Image" that appears to the right of our website should make a little more sense with an appropriate title than it did with letters, numbers and underscore characters before.
While I was fixing up the Europe trip albums, I noticed that spambots had once again found our website. I had to clean out 10 pages worth of comment spam (not ONE legitimate... I was hoping that there would be SOMETHING personal in there!). I was thinking of turning album access off to non-registered users again, but there have been many regular visitors that have told me they could not view the photos when I did that (maybe I need to run over the login procedure again?). So I'm trying one more thing now, before I totally shut off album access to nonregistered users.
If you are logged in to the-richmonds.net, you should notice no difference. If you are not logged in, and you want to leave a comment in the photo album, you will be asked to enter a code that is displayed in an image on the screen. This verifies that you are an actual human being, as it requires interaction with the site. If the spam comments continue even with this measure, I will have to shut the gallery off to all unregistered users again. I hate having to do this, since this is just a way for us to share our lives with friends and family. The text that is being left by these bots is inappropriate, and I don't want it anywhere near my family.
