Apart from a quick post early yesterday morning about getting home late from the Demeusy house, I didn't get a chance to say what a wonderful time we had!
It was supposed to be an early dinner (so we wouldn't interfere with Hannah's bedtime), so we got there around 3:30 in the afternoon. We had a wonderful dinner - everything was delicious. Hannah ate the whole time she was there. Starting with her Cheerios, and then moving on to Elizabeth's salad (she even ate a few spinach leaves when she thought no one was looking, but mostly she loved the strawberries and blueberries). She also loved Matthew's pizza, eating almost half a piece even though she had been eating all evening! After dinner Matthew demonstrated his latte art talent as we each (well, not Hannah!) had a cup of cappuccino.
Hannah went down around 9:00, and we all kept visiting after that. Matthew and I were in the kitchen, using his laptop to work on website stuff, and reminisce about MVBC College & Career days, and plan the next steps of the Jeep project. Heather and Elizabeth were in the living room talking about girl stuff (I assume...). We weren't paying any attention to the time, and apparently the caffeine was doing it's thing because none of us felt even a little bit tired. When Elizabeth and Heather wandered into the kitchen we thought it might be getting really late, maybe around midnight. We were all surprised when we looked at a clock and saw that it was after 2:00! I have to say that it was a great time visiting, and it did not seem like that long or that late!
