I think, in order to offset the tremendous convenience of online bill-paying, many companies are removing the convenience of mailing me a physical bill to pay. It's been twice now that I've missed paying a bill because it was never mailed to me. So, just because I've taken the initiative to pay my bill "instantly" (which still takes several days to post to my account in most cases), I guess I'm supposed to have my life in order such that I know when each bill is due without being issued any such physical reminder.... Yes, yes, they are always due on the same date every month, but I don't think in terms of dates - I think in term of the stack of envelopes that are sorted according to what is coming due next. It's worked for me for years, but I guess it's time to rethink my system....
