Good Weekend!

This weekend was very nice! My college roomate of three years, Erin, and her husband, Mark, had an early anniversary trip to New England!! They made an over night stop here to visit and meet Hannah. Because I was supposed to be 39 weeks pregnant when they got married, I was unable to make it to Ohio for their big day. But after all, Hannah decided to join us 3 weeks early, I still was in no shape to travel that far. I had not met Mark yet, and it was a nice chance to actually get to know him here at our home, instead of the quick "Hello, this is my new husband" intros one receives at a wedding! Erin and I had a very nice time catching up a little bit, and I was very excited to see their lovely wedding album! We had a great time!

Saturday morning, the church had their semi-annual clothing swap. It was once again a great success. I was able to get a few things for this winter and a bunch of very cute summer clothes. It is very hard to believe that she will ever fit into any of the stuff I picked up! I found this adorable winter church coat and matching hat, and I found a dress that will be absolutely adorable for Christmas! I am so excited! I even got a pair of winter boots. They are a little big, but we can tie them on really tight this year, and she will probably get a few winters out of them! Sure beats buying boots she won't get much use out of. I was also able to get a feeding seat for my in-laws house. We were lugging ours back and forth on the days Grandma June was watching Hannah. So this will be great to just leave there. One less thing to have to gather all together and get home at the end of the day! It needed a bit of scrubbing and bleaching but we got it looking pretty good after all!

The church nursery had an extra playpen that we can use for Hannah at Grandma's house... so that will be very convenient also... a few less things to have to purchase.

I invited Natasa, our neighbor, to the clothing swap and she kindly accepted and came along. She got a bag of stuff for Jay and she also found a few pairs of khakis for herself, how fun is that!! On the way home we had a very neat conversation... she was asking many questions about our church and our religion... and I think she is really searching... if you could pray that we would continue to be a good example of Christ! All the questions led to answers that pointed straight to salvation... the whole gospel message in a ten minute drive home! It was awesome! Wouldn't have been able to hit them all myself if I was trying, but she asked all the right questions. I was very encouraged and very happy that she was comfortable enough with me to ask! I hope they will try to visit our church one day! We really love our neighbors and want to see them come to a saving knowledge of God!

We got home, and then Matt, Hannah, Mark, Erin and I piled into their rental car and headed over to Parker's Maple Barn for some wonderful pancakes! I decided to get just a 3 stack of pumpkin pancakes this time! I still have about 2 breakfasts left in the fridge for Wednesday when I am home with Hannah! They were so good... and Hannah sure enjoyed them too!! We had a nice time there, then came home and relaxed for the early afternoon until Mark and Erin had to head to Boston for the last leg of their journey! We are so glad they were able to make us a stop on their trip! I really enjoyed the time we had, even though it was short, it was very sweet!
